Typography Comp
I believe the best thing about this piece of work is how well the bright colors work together on top of the black background. On the other hand, the weakest thing is probably my use of paintbrushes. I used a basic brush and just drew some squiggles. This can be improved though by trying out different types of brushes next time and maybe even download some online. Tools I did use on this piece though were things such as the text option, the opacity of layers, blending options, and filters. I was able to meet the objective by repeating the same letter and colors (repetition), aligning the letters across the same space (alignment), putting all the components of the work together or on top of each other in small space (proximity), and using different colors (contrast). This assignment was easy because it was easy to choose which letter to use, aka the first letter of my name. Another thing that made it easy was the fact that I was given a list of what was needed, it gave me a base and somewhere to start, and after that ideas just started flowing. It was difficult to choose a color scheme though. I started with red because thats my favorite color but then I didn't like it as much so I changed the background to black and for the rest I just fooled around with the color wheel till I found colors I liked. If I could do this assignment again, I would definitely try more complex fonts and fill the page just a bit more. On a scale of 1-10 I would give myself a solid 9 because I restarted it about 3 times to make it as 'perfect' as I could but I wouldn't give myself a full 10 because I did leave some empty spaces still.

One thing I believe could improve your piece is do more with the empty black spaces you left behind. I think being more crazy with your A's would also improve your work. Another minor thing I see is the darker A's blend too much with the background and can barely be seen without a second glance. More font diversity would be nice too. Either way, I love the look of this piece. It has the feel of a 90's P.S.A. or commercial. Most of the colors are well chosen and look great together. The squiggles are also great.
